Less Than A Week. I Can’t Sleep. It’s Like Waiting For Christmas! First Editions of the final ELF.B.I adventure is on its way!

I’m up! I think I’m up. My eyes are bleary. My body is pleading insanity. My mind is pleading the fifth. But, I have Yorkshire Tea!

I’m writing this before the sparrows first bottom burp this morning. I’m at Magdalen Park, which as you follow my social media, you will know this is where my darling mama is receiving the best love and attention for her EOL care.

We have our Friday night sleepovers which means, I rarely sleep at all as you can well imagine. My head and heart perform the Tango on repeat so I consume copious amounts of tea to see me through the stampede. The bladder and kidney then joins in with the Quick Step (quite literally after mug number 5!) and my mind just jives the night away, solo. No wonder I feel like I’ve been clubbing, having an all-night zender-bender! Not sure that’s a word but it sounds like me 😂

Changing the back cover at the 11th hour! The ELF.B.I and Santa Save Grandma’s Christmas Day

So, here we are at daft o’clock, even the cock would frown at, scanning through the new children’s festive release for this Christmas, The ELF.B.I and Santa Save Grandma’s Christmas Day excited, but as nervous as a sprout in a drought! Hence why I changed the back cover at the 11th hour last week! A slight redesign and a spit and polish and my mind settled easy.

Queen Mama also had a look through the proof book when it arrived and was highly delighted with the illustrations and especially of “Grandma” with long pure white hair. She marvelled at the story as I read it aloud and then sweetly said “that’s the best story yet darling, it’s fabulous!” But then she’s said that after reading all of my stories. A Mama’s prerogative is to say the nicest things, whenever she likes, to whomever she likes and whatever she’s thinking! 🥰

So, this was just me, rambling madly but offering a wee catch up ahead of the release of The ELFBI and Santa Save Grandma’s Christmas Day ~ due October 16th. I will be signing and posting the day the books arrive, so watch your mailboxes next week! EEEEEEEK!
